This was an incredible research project. We interviewed insurance coordinators, their job is to make sure patients maintain or become fully insured so that they are not worried about finances and can prioritize their health. The dedication these people have to their work and patients was incredible. I was so lucky to be a part of this project. As a team we started off by designing protocols for the questions and information we wanted to gather so that when we went to clinics our information we gathered would be from the same set of questions. We also followed insurance coordinators around in the clinics and learning about their jobs. Then we learned about the software they currently use for their job. We met with them over teams in many follow up meetings, we met with supervisors, and we held online workshops with them to go over our data and wireframes.
